About Gustav
Gustav is a musician who is always looking for answers. The questions he asks are critical, often very personal and sensitive, and they are set in the context of his experiences. As a music therapist, passionate backpacker and committed climate justice activist, he brings together an exciting mix of existential, cultural, spiritual and social issues.
Gustav is back in spring 2023 with a new concert programme – this time in German and much more political! In his new songs, Gustav sings about experiences from two years of living and being active in different places of the climate justice movement.
The atmosphere at his concerts is – just like his songs – both intimate, looking inwards, and angry and hopeful about the social perspective.
His most recent released single, ‘Schleiereule’, became well known in the context of the village of Lützerath, which was destroyed for lignite, and his latest songs also process the eviction and destruction of this inspiring place.
